Casa Alchimia
Authentic Italian Experience
in the Hearth of Maine

Dear Guests,
Welcome to CASA ALCHIMIA, an historic house built in 1789 in the hearth of
Freeport, Maine.
Over the past few years, we have worked to bring a modern contemporary twist to its internal walls while maintaining its original exterior look.
We invite you to experience our favorite interior designers, photographers on top various collections of art and books, all with an Italian influence.
As you walk outside along our Maple Trees, you are just a few steps away from the downtown of Freeport Maine, home to shops, dining and LL Bean headquarters and flagship.
We look forward to having you at CASA ALCHIMIA and nursing you in a place where Art, Culture and Culinary experiences meet.

Interior Design

The interiors of CASA ALCHIMIA are furnished with important pieces of the history of Italian Design. CASA ALCHIMIA believe that light is more than just a basic need that helps us to express new ideas and explore new emotions. It makes sense of the past, it brightens our present, and it lends brilliance to the future. Great attention was given to the iconic pieces of contemporary design from the 50’s to the present day, ideated by some of the most important Italian designers, including Gae Aulenti, Achille Castiglioni, Tobia Scarpa, Vico Magistretti, Joe Colombo, Michele De Lucchi, Dino Gavina, Marco Romanelli.
In a continuing dialogue between past, present and future, the spaces of CASA ALCHIMIA have been furnished respecting our concept, philosophy and futuristic thought, where the furniture with a more innovative soul and modern icons together create authentic welcoming and personal atmospheres. The furniture, designed by the twentieth century’s best-known architects, comes from some of the iconic best Italian companies: Cassina, Molteni, Zanotta, Driade, Kartell
